Well, finally, the camp is over, but somehow I feel that I should continue to have this kind of camp. It helps me alot. I feel that I improved vastly after this camp.

My skills were like a suckling baby in the beginning. Got criticized by section leader (I am playing PRIME, which is the rhythm, not the bass or the melody) because he thought I played badly due to my lack of commitment. When I told him about my situation, he though agreed still reminded me about my inefficiency. As a punishment, he wanted me to stay at my room for my own practise whenever there's games or leisure. To me, I think it's worth it.

I remembered how Dominic (The conductor cum tutor in music, dunno if the term is correct or not) criticised my playing in the beginning. He told me about my lack of playing technic, and learned a lot of wrong things, since I am self-taught. I remembered him telling me that I am one of the worst players in the orchestra team. Sound a bit sarcastic, but he's true. Well, what to do, my classical guitar experience is just only 1 and a half year. What do you expect?

Miracles do happen. And I am totally in shock when I found out how improved I am after 4 days of full blast practices. I remembered in the end, my section leader said I am totally different from the person I used to be. His remark may not be significant to him, but I felt rejuvenated. After that, I remembered playing with extreme concentration on Coup De Coeur ( One of the pieces), and I was glad that I managed to finish 80% of the song. God, I'm glad I've done it. Thank God.

Well, there's going to be alot more performances, not only for GENUS, but also for Hall, JamX and Christmas Party, but I know that whatever I do, I will give in my best shot because now I realise what Dominic says is true: "You may be a lousy player now, but everyone in here, I believe will be a good soloist (solo guitarist) in the future. All you have to do is to play music. Constant practise. Always believe in yourself".

(Addition: At first I don't like him, because I remembered my first ensemble was a bad experience because he picked on me, but now I realised how wonderful he is. And, besides playing wonderful classical songs, he can also play marvelous pop song, like "I'll be watching you", man, that is like... one of my favorite song... Full respect to him)
