Guys... here we go... I am back buddies... yoshtaka!

It's been a semester since I got into blogging man. Life in NUS was kinda like... horribly busy. I hardly have some times for myself... almost everyday I got to do some assignments, and deadlines for lab practical. And come to think of it, the seniors say that this is the final year that we can *slack*. I can't believe there's such nonsense... just by looking at our life, you can immediately see how busy we are. Yeah, we had free times on saturday and sunday, cause there's no lesson on that day, but... BUT we got to do our assignments, and finish up tutorials and lab. Man, NUS is trying to force me out to the edge man... come to think of it.

Well... guys, it seems like I was complaining, but... to tell you guys the truth, I kinda like enjoy myself here. For heaven's sake, of course it is not the education system here. It is... a miraculous thing. I finally see what I am going to be in 10 years time, and I know my target, and now I am currently proceeding to the very beginning of my life stage: I wanna be playing for a band who can produce musics. Musics that can touch the heart of millions of people. Musics that bring forth the important message that we need to tell the people of the world, what they are craving for: there is still hope in life. Don't give up!

Well, during this sem, I realise I play alot of songs, man, and I perform for a lot also. Do you guys believe me if I ever say that I did play for like more than 5 performance for a band and vocalist-guitarist unplugged session? And their record on me is like: "Well, I don't think a first year could get any further, look at his technique - it is very pop based. We want a solid proper technique!". Well, I give myself a chance to improve everyday, and guys, can you believe it? I now actually can play a bit by ear, and I am learning to make a groove for myself in bass, so that whenever there's a song that we wanna play, regardless of what genre, we would want to make it OUR TYPE OF GENRE, which is... awesome? Yeah, that's what I have always been wanting to achieve in. But, I seriously know that it is difficult, considering how performance-wise attitude is being influence by how you can bring forth a good song via feeling.

~A guitar is a personality which is potrayed by the six different feel strings~
(Eddie Lee, The Dying Breed in BECK - an anime)

Well, of course I can't believe such sentiments at first, seeing how many professional guitarist... I mean classical, they play with technically emotional songs with... technique, and can produce a wonderful song. However, recently, when I got the chance to get more exposure in band performance, not just the senior band alone, but also some other band in Singapore, which I regularly visit, because they come often to NUS, like Ronin for instance, I realise that it was the feeling that counts. How good you can play, if your technique can't potray the personality of the songs you are playing, it is just good as 'listen and be gone'.

Hence, I am aiming to achieve such musics. Musics that can touch the heart of people's life. We are not meant to hit it in Singapore's music market, because I can see how competitive it is, judging by the taste of so many different people liking pop, while the band that we have now is more on the alternative fusion rock... argh, wish there's someone who can like our music... I want to do so... It's already become my target in life. Check it out!...

Currently, if you guys wanna know about what I am doing in the band, I am a bassist, we got Josie Lai Sha as the vocalist, and Melissa Foo (Mel) as the drummer (hey, she's a nice girl tell you guys,.... cause her drum technique is right up to our standard... Tommy is the lead guitarist (Tommy, buck up your guitar technique. Go buy a new guitar, start with Sammick first, it is pretty good for beginners)... we are looking for a keyboardist and a rhythm guitarist though,... so it may take some time to final have an official band. No, this band is not for Hall commitment, and it is life-time. Though everyone of us want to just jam for fun, we know that ultimately we got to do some good musics... Yeah,... that is our target.

K... seems like I talk too much... see you guys for the coming holidays... wish I can talk non-stop.... hehe...
